We started it up with the new carbs and it sounds great I can't wait to put it under load..

Latest pics, not long now waiting on a front brake kit and we should be ready for rego.
The tank was way to dinted so we ended up painting in black satin ..Looks sweet

Update pics

Well I painted the frame nice shiny black "problem" it never dried even after a week. As it turns out there was a problem with the paint itself not the applicator..





So I washed it off and as it turned out I liked the finish,well I was always in two minds whether to have it gloss or satin ...











So I put a couple of coats of clear on it that's it ..I love it. I have done the shiny thing heaps of times so I like the way it's all going..also being influenced by the whole Hot Rod thing I decided to paint the underside of the guards red , yep the underside..





I will also do this under the tank as I am now painting the alloy tank black to match the guards and I have done a red pinstripe on the rims.





I also named the bike "Double Trouble" because it seems like I'm doing everything twice and it's a twin not to mention being a big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band.. I'll keep the pics coming now as its now ready to go back together oh except the paint to the tank and engine....

Also a pic of the new guards freshly painted, Hammerite satin black I think it's just got the right amount of satin...sweet. I'll post more pics as I start painting things engine, forks etc... "still no carbs dam post"

The pull down

Well we have finished the mock up and now started with the pull down,it's time to start making it look the part..the tank still needs a job done on it remove dints etc.

Still waiting on the carbs to turn up from the states so the motor can't come out yet as I still need to measure up the taps etc..

Update pics and mods list

From the front custom painted wheels,new bars,new control switches,brake master cylinder,new leavers,complete new wiring,marine grade ignition move to below the tank,xt alloy tank,shorten frame,battery moved ,custom seat pan,custom headers,new custom rear grd, custom tail and headlight, new 34mm mik carbs and the list goes on...starting to get a tuff stance now.

I just dropped it down to the trimmers to get the seat done..hey nice car guys..

Update weekly

I have decided to engage the boys at Retro Motorcycles to help speed up the progress with the mods to the frame,rearguard and wiring.Also we have fitted the headlight and the new bars,the header pipes are of to the chromers.
