Update pics and mods list

From the front custom painted wheels,new bars,new control switches,brake master cylinder,new leavers,complete new wiring,marine grade ignition move to below the tank,xt alloy tank,shorten frame,battery moved ,custom seat pan,custom headers,new custom rear grd, custom tail and headlight, new 34mm mik carbs and the list goes on...starting to get a tuff stance now.

I just dropped it down to the trimmers to get the seat done..hey nice car guys..

XT 500 / cafe racer

Update weekly

I have decided to engage the boys at Retro Motorcycles to help speed up the progress with the mods to the frame,rearguard and wiring.Also we have fitted the headlight and the new bars,the header pipes are of to the chromers.

I think we will put some 40mm risers just to lift the new bars a bit .

The Right pipes and Tank

Looks like we've sorted the mufflers...oh yeh

Yeh only showing 1 we well have 2, should be sweet and sound great.





Also decided on the tank, yep a Yamaha XT 500 alloy job,needs some mods to fit but looks great. We will be machining up a alloy old school type filler cap with help from the boys at Retro Motorcycles....

Latest update on the 650

We started work on the pipes toying with the idea of twin cones finishing under the engine,na it's been done so back to the drawing board. I have decided to keep the header pipes it came with as they have the perfect shape but I'll chrome them...also I have started to remove all brackets not being used,progress is slow because unlike the TY I am designing as I go .. Thinking thinking..


Also going with the open look where the battery was by fitting a smaller one and hanging it under the new seat, less is best right.
